A WORD FROM OUR FACULTY
Jeff Strakowski, MD, Course Director "This is a comprehensive peripheral nerve ultrasound course designed to develop skills in diagnostic and therapeutic applications for peripheral nerves of the upper limb. The didactics will include assessment of both common and less common entrapment neuropathies. This course is designed for practitioners interested in peripheral nerve anatomy and disease and designed to gain skills in localization of diagnostic assessment and pathologic condition and approach to ultrasound guided needle procedures."
Dr. Scott Primack "With advancing ultrasound technology, it would be inevitable that neurosonology would the next area of focus since the explosion of musculoskeletal ultrasound. Specialists in sports medicine, physical medicine, neurology, orthopedics and plastic surgery will want to participate in this course to learn the anatomic relationships of structures at nerve entrapment areas in the upper and lower extremities. The course will provide outstanding training to assist the clinician in indentifying the cause, degree of the loss of function and structural abnormalities at the site of disease/injury. With the emphasis on diagnostics, the increased understanding of the anatomic characteristics of peripheral nerves and the surrounding structures will optimize ones ability management and treat patients better than ever before."
