Program Overview

This course is an advanced training designed to equip healthcare professionals with the skills necessary to diagnose and treat upper extremity injuries commonly encountered in occupational medicine. This hands-on workshop combines in-depth didactic sessions with cadaveric practice, providing participants with expertise in ultrasound imaging, guided injection techniques, and precise anatomical recognition. Attendees will gain practical experience to improve patient outcomes, enhance procedural accuracy and stay at the forefront of musculoskeletal care for work-related injuries.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate proficiency in using ultrasound to evaluate the shoulder, wrist, and elbow for work-related injuries, including identifying normal anatomy and common pathologies.
  2. Perform ultrasound-guided injection techniques with precision, focusing on the shoulder, wrist, and elbow regions.
  3. Enhance anatomical recognition through cadaveric dissection and hands-on practice, correlating ultrasound findings with clinical presentations.
  4. Develop strategies for integrating ultrasound-guided procedures into the management of upper extremity injuries to optimize patient outcomes.
  5. Gain confidence in applying advanced diagnostic and therapeutic techniques tailored to occupational and musculoskeletal care.
