Expert Education Institute is proud to host its 1st Annual Fall Scientific Research Exhibit (SRE) during our Musculoskeletal Ultrasound + Interventional Orthopedics conference this September. This competition welcomes medical students, residents, fellows, and attending physicians (MDs and DOs) to present their research in musculoskeletal medicine.
The SRE showcases cutting-edge research and reinforces the commitment to advancing science in musculoskeletal medicine.
To participate, complete the SRE submission form by July 31, 2025. All fields marked with a red asterisk (*) are required. Only one abstract per first author will be accepted.

General Information
Q: Who can submit an abstract for the Scientific Research Exhibit (SRE)?
A: The SRE is open to medical students, residents, fellows, and attending physicians (MDs and DOs) conducting research in musculoskeletal medicine. All medical students who submit an abstract must sign up for UltrasoundFEST in order for their work to be considered.
Q: What types of research are eligible for submission?
A: We welcome original research, case studies, and quality improvement projects related to musculoskeletal medicine, including diagnostic imaging, interventional procedures, biomechanics, and rehabilitation.
Q: Is there a limit to the number of abstracts I can submit?
A: Yes, each first author may submit only one abstract. However, you may be listed as a co-author on additional submissions.
Poster Presentation
Q: What format should the posters follow?
A: Posters should be designed in portrait (vertical) orientation and meet standard conference dimensions (e.g., 36” x 48”). More detailed guidelines will be provided upon acceptance.
Q: Will there be a live poster presentation session?
A: Yes, accepted presenters will have the opportunity to discuss their research during a dedicated poster session at UltraSoundFEST on Friday, September 26 from 5:00-7:00pm.
Q: Will my poster be published or shared after the event?
A: Yes, accepted abstracts and posters may be featured in conference materials, online platforms, or post-event summaries.
Awards & Recognition
Q: Are there awards for top submissions?
A: Yes! Outstanding research submissions will be recognized with awards and certificates of excellence. Details on award categories and judging criteria will be provided upon acceptance.
Q: How will the abstracts be judged?
A: Abstracts will be reviewed by a scientific committee based on originality, research quality, clarity, and relevance to musculoskeletal medicine.

Q: What is the deadline for abstract submission?
A: The submission deadline is July 31, 2025. Late submissions will not be accepted.
Q: How will I know if my abstract is accepted?
A: Notification of acceptance will be sent via email by August 15, 2025.

All research abstracts must include the following sections:

- Setting (Do not list the formal institution name)
- Participants
- Interventions (If no interventions were used, state: “Interventions: Not applicable.”)

Case report abstracts must include:
- Case Diagnosis
- Case Description OR Program Description (Do not list the formal institution name)
- Discussion (Relevance of the case)

Submission Guidelines
- Abstracts must not exceed 300 words (excluding the title and author block).
- Abstracts will be independently reviewed by peer evaluators based on the structured format criteria.
