Sports Medicine Summit: Caring for Athletes with Lower Limb & Spine Injuries
August 25, 2022 - August 27, 2022
$250.00 – $795.00Program Overview
This course explores the modern approach to evaluation and treatment of sports medicine conditions affecting the back and lower limbs. We are thrilled to assemble world-renowned presenters from a variety of backgrounds to present and discuss current concepts in sports medicine. You will hear from surgeons, physiatrists, radiologists and sports medicine specialists among others because we believe it is this multidisciplinary approach that gives participants a clinical edge and enhances delivery of medical care. Topics are selected to strike a balance between emerging concepts, updates on commonly encountered conditions and increasing awareness about infrequently encountered and important diagnoses. Participants can expect to leave feeling confident and excited to apply newly learned concepts to their practice.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this educational activity, learners should be able to:
- Implement an effective evaluation algorithm based on recent research for musculoskeletal and medical sports medicine conditions through an arthroscopic surgery lens.
- Assess and apply surgical and non-surgical treatment recommendations and rehabilitation protocols for the diagnosis and clinical management of lower limb and spine disorders in athletes.
- Review and implement new minimally invasive techniques for the management of back, knee, hip, and foot and ankle pathology.
- Integrate strategies with the healthcare team(s) to improve musculoskeletal and medical health in patient population.
