Attending the ExEd ultrasound course was a transformative experience for me as a medical student. Exploring MSK ultrasound under the guidance of distinguished physicians in the PM&R field was truly inspiring. As a student interested in pursuing a career in PM&R, ExEd has been a gem of a resource with its training, exciting events and family-like atmosphere. My recent course attendance did not only deepen my knowledge of ultrasound diagnostics but served as a stepping stone to an amazing network of esteemed physicians, I’m forever grateful for the amazing experience at ExEd.

I am a physical therapist and have expanded on my Musculoskeletal Ultrasound skills with ExEd Institute courses. I have focused on a new body region with each course and implemented imaging into patients’ evaluation and assessment. This imaging tool elevates our physical therapy skills and is used in my clinic for evaluation, greater insight on quality of movement, ongoing assessment and patient education. It is a pleasure to interact with instructors of various medical specialties in a lab focused seminar. This always results in interesting discussions and a greater insight into other professions and the role we each play in helping maximize efficiency of movement in the face of injury and pathology. As I consider PTs to be the movement experts, it is a great tool that adds to our existing clinical skills. And ExEd Institute offers a great learning environment and the necessary leadership to develop mastery in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound.

The advanced shoulder course was the most comprehensive shoulder course I’ve ever attended. The faculty was amazing, ranging from top orthopedic surgeons to top sports medicine physicians who use holistic approach which underlines the importance of biotensegrity, nerve entrapments and orthopedics to address complexities of interregional relationship within the shoulder girdle and its connections with the rest of the body utilizing sophisticated clinical examination, met by exquisite ultrasound skills.
