Ahmed Aly is a second-year medical student at Rowan-Virtua School of Osteopathic Medicine, where he is actively developing his skills in musculoskeletal medicine and patient care. His passion for hands-on learning and ultrasound technology led him to attend the 2024 UltraSoundFest: Student Physician MSK Ultrasound Intensive in Philadelphia, where he gained valuable experience working with experts in the field.
Ahmedβs clinical experience is extensive. Prior to medical school, he worked as a medical assistant in both Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Family Medicine, assisting physicians during procedures, managing patient care logistics, and navigating prior authorizations. He continues to expand his hands-on expertise as a volunteer at the RowanSOM OMM Clinic and as an active member of the schoolβs Ultrasound Club.
Beyond the clinic, Ahmed is committed to fostering student engagement and education. He has helped organize de-stressing events for over 50 students, hosted faculty-led lectures on primary care, and is currently planning a webinar with a program director to help students navigate the residency application process. His ability to manage projects and lead initiatives showcases his strong organizational and communication skills.
As a member of the Student Advisory Board at Expert Education Institute, Ahmed aims to expand outreach for UltraSoundFest and other educational events. He is particularly passionate about increasing hands-on practice opportunities, creating interactive learning experiences, and providing students with a platform to present their research. With a background in customer service, tutoring, and various leadership roles, Ahmed brings a collaborative and innovative perspective to the board.
Ahmedβs ultimate goal is to help fellow medical students develop essential ultrasound skills, build professional connections, and gain confidence in clinical decision-making. Through his work with the board, he hopes to enhance medical education, promote interdisciplinary collaboration, and ensure that future physicians are well-equipped for their careers. πππ¬
