Q: What is your favorite thing about your job?
LC: Helping people get out of pain and putting a smile on their face when we work through their treatments and get them back to doing what they love. I work with a lot of athletes, many of which are working towards scholarships and ways to stand out in their athletic programs. It is so rewarding to get dedicated individuals back on track.
Q: How do you manage your stress?
LC: I find pleasure in indulging in a good red wine. Also I enjoy sharing quality time with family and friends. There’s nothing quite like having a good laugh and going out dancing. Life is a beautiful thing and it’s important to never lose your sense of humor, laughing is the best medicine.
Q: What is your most recent vacation?
LC: Paddle boarding through the Florida Keys. It was outstanding!
Q: What’s your favorite ExEd memory?
LC: All the ExEd conferences I’ve been to as of yet have been so special and educational. Being able to learn the applications of ultrasound and how it’s so integrated now into MSK has proven to be such a benefit in practice.
Q: What advice would you give to your younger self?
LC: Wish I took more chances earlier on in my career and life in general. From wishing how to surf to taking career opportunities earlier on, I would have been happy to see what those chances could have done for me today. I would tell myself to travel more, get involved with more people in the field and overall just take more chances. Life is too short to not take advantage.
