Q: Who is your greatest role model?
TPS: I have had so many, several at different stages of my career and that is still the case. As my main interest is in MSK ultrasound, I tend to look up to some people who are well established in the field and learn from them.
Q: What is the importance of ultrasound in medicine?
Ultrasound helps a physician make a much more accurate diagnosis and therefore, a more appropriate therapy assignment. Thanks to ultrasound, there are less assumptions in medicine now with better imaging. It has a great impact in administering injections since you can now rely on live results.
Q: What is an ideal vacation for you?
Going on a family Scandinavian cruise. The ship has a lot to offer and it’s a great time to unwind and enjoy family time.
Q: What is your favorite memory with EXED?
I have been here for 8 years and have to say that the Breckenridge trip is always a blast. One year we were at a faculty dinner at Dr. Primaks ski condo and we were playing the game “name that tune.” While I thought I was decent at the game, I had lost 21-3 and haven’t played since!
